Privacy Policy

Privacy for a bot that only needs reminder data.

This page explains what Bump Reminder stores, why it stores it, how long it is kept, and how server owners or users can request access or deletion.

Effective: January 7, 2026 Updated: April 30, 2026

Plain-language summary: Bump Reminder is built for manual bump reminders. Data is stored only so cooldown tracking, reminders, setup, and support can work.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you configure and information needed for the bot to provide reminder features.

  • Server settings: guild IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, language, timezone, reminder text, and setup preferences.
  • Reminder data: cooldown state, next reminder time, source bump service, labels, and related timestamps.
  • Discord identifiers: user IDs, message IDs, guild IDs, and channel IDs needed to connect actions to the correct server or member.
  • Activity data: recent bump time, source bot, and bump totals used for cooldown tracking, statistics, and visible activity panels.

2. How We Use Information

We use stored information to operate and maintain Bump Reminder.

  • Core features: send reminders, track bump windows, calculate cooldowns, and preserve server configuration.
  • Bot reliability: understand failures, debug issues, prevent abuse, and keep the service stable.
  • Public activity: show aggregated or recent server activity where the feature requires it.

3. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited information only when needed to run the bot or comply with valid legal requirements.

  • Infrastructure providers: hosting, database, logging, and monitoring services that help operate the bot.
  • Legal compliance: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or valid government request.
  • Safety: when needed to investigate abuse, protect the service, or protect Discord communities using the bot.

4. Retention

We keep information only while it is useful for service operation, support, safety, or legitimate analytics.

  • Server configuration: kept while the bot is installed and may remain briefly after removal for recovery and support.
  • Bump history and statistics: may be kept longer for cooldown records, aggregate metrics, and abuse prevention.
  • Deletion requests: eligible data can be deleted after a valid request from the server owner or affected user.

5. Your Choices

You can control future collection by changing settings or removing the bot from your server.

  • Access or deletion: contact support to request data access or deletion.
  • Stop collection: remove Bump Reminder from your server to stop future collection there.
  • Server-owner requests: deletion requests for server-wide data should come from a server owner or administrator.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and operational safeguards to reduce unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

7. Contact

Questions or deletion requests can be sent through the support server or email.
